  2. Thank you my dear! You are so gracious. The fancy brownies just gussied themselves all up and preened for Woody.

    1. I will be more than happy to send you any amount of Lindt that you like, any time. It takes two minutes to run it two blocks away to the depot on the way to work. Seriously!
      Thanks for the nice words.

    1. lol - Thank you. yes I do love red, and there is a long homespun large-red-checked curtain as a door on a tall cabinet too. But I have accumulated many of Rose's kitchen items that are red coordinated too. The picture of the brownies was of two long bars, topped by triangles so it may look like frosted bottoms and tops, and then I stuck it in front of a mirror and it added another tier deceptively, so you think you see all these bottom-frosted brownies I think. Thanks for coming by.

  5. They are gorgeous!! Love your glass KA bowl too :) Did you up the amount of pecans? There's so many of them peeping through. It looks beautiful!

  6. I looked at that glass bowl forever and one day a month ago I just couldn't help myself. Actually it was shen I saw Sebastian Reloux from Bouchon Bakery doing his demo in one of the raspberry macaron macaronnage swirling there - I knew I was a gonner. And, although it is weighty, I love seeing into it, the way it moves around, and its lid. My husband noted it was heavy when he took it out of the dishwasher, but I have already gotten used to it.

  7. Joan, your brownies look sooooooo good. I love your display and your process photos are so complete. We finished up our batch of brownies today, but your photos make me want to make another batch. Oh, and I love your canisters. Had to look up pates (pasta). Now I know.

  10. Highest praise from you, my mentor for all these years! Your food photography soooo fab and I check your tutorials! I carried the canisters back from France where I was taking a course at La Varenne in 1978 and I do cherish them, so thanks for noticing ; )
